Four years on, your support matters now more than ever in Ukraine

Four years of escalating conflict have left millions in Ukraine needing emergency support. More than 4.1 million people require health assistance, while attacks on health care continue to  damage facilities and disrupt essential services. Hospitals operate under extreme pressure, with power and water outages threatening health workers, care centres and families alike, through intense winters and on the frontlines.

Because donors stand with WHO, care is still reaching people. Your support helps keep essential services, trauma care, and medical evacuations running for people who need them most.

Every moment matters, and every donation can save lives.

Four years into the conflict, mothers and children in Ukraine are continuing to fight for access to basic health care. Hospitals face constant pressure, power outages disrupt care, and attacks continue to threaten services.

WHO is working with partners to keep trauma care, maternal health services, and essential supplies reaching those who need them most.

Your support is what keeps this response going and helps families who have already endured far too much.

WHO's Response

In the last four years WHO has been on the ground in Ukraine, supporting a health system under constant strain.

In 2025, WHO delivered 28 tons of medical supplies to nearly 1,000 health facilities, reaching over one million people. WHO also supported more than 14,000 primary health care visits in hard-to-reach areas, helped evacuate over 4,500 patients needing specialized care, and installed 50 mobile health and emergency units where facilities were destroyed.

Working with the Ministry of Health and 134 health partners, WHO is helping hospitals stay open during power attacks by providing backup electricity and heating, strengthening mental health support, and maintaining essential services in frontline and remote areas.

This work is only possible because donors choose to stand with WHO and help sustain care after four years of ongoing crisis.

WHO’s Impact

Your generosity goes a long way, from mobile clinics in crisis zones to lifesaving vaccine drives in remote villages. Dive into the stories your support makes possible.
